2.6.1. Timetables (school days)
The trolleybus traffic is executed Monday to Friday from 03:48 to 23:27 o'clock, on Saturday of 05:03 to 23:51 o'clock and on Sunday of 05:03 to 22:51 o'clock.
Outside of these times is no trolleybus operation. There is also no trolleybus replacement bus service.
The lines 861 and 862 operate on workdays between 05:46 and 07:46 o'clock in 12 minute intervals, between 08:06 and 12:51 o'clock in 15 minute intervals and between 13:04 and 17:40 o'clock in 12 minute intervals. Since both lines travel in the city centre, this results in the city centre 5 or 7,5 or 6 minute intervals.
Before 05:46 o'clock and after 17:40 o'clock as well as on holidays and weekends the timetable intervals are extended up to 60 minutes.
The journey time as timetable on workdays on the line 861 between 05:46 and 07:54 o'clock amounts 58 minutes per tour and on the line 862 55 minutes.
On weekdays between 08:06 and 17:40 o'clock the journey time as timetable on the line 861 amounts 54 minutes per tour and on the line 862 51 minutes.
Outside of these times the journey time as timetable is shortened gradually up to 45 minutes per tour. The average speed is approximately 20 km/h.
The trolleybus drivers have so by day only 81 seconds time for driving from bus stop to bus stop, inclusive entry and exit of passengers, ticket sale, ticket checking and entrance of all passengers at the first door.
Repeated is with the timetable the feat succeeded, that the trolleybuses leave from two stops at exactly the same time. It concerns the stops Saarstraße and Sommerfelder Straße as well as Clara-Zetkin-Weg and Nordend. The only one, which do not get this feat, are unfortunately the trolleybus drivers.
